‘Nick’s Wild Ride with Nick Hoffman’ Premieres September 27 on Outdoor Channel
September 30, 2024

Nick’s Wild Ride Airs 7:30 p.m. ET on Fridays during “American Wild” Block

For the last nine years, country music artist and hunter, Nick Hoffman, of Nick’s Wild Ride has been taking audiences on an incredible global journey on Outdoor Channel. In his latest season, premiering September 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET, Hoffman promises more adventures, more food, culture, music and more history to get to the heartbeat of the locations he visits.

Since its inception nearly a decade ago, Nick's Wild Ride with Nick Hoffman has featured destinations from Argentina to Europe, Kyrgyzstan to Africa, and Alaska to Arizona. Reflecting on these experiences, Hoffman remarked, "In my wildest dreams, I never expected the places this show would take me. Every location has been special and life-changing in some way, but if I had to pick a favorite, the first time in Africa was a life-changing event on many levels.”

A Legacy of Impact

Hoffman’s personal mantra emphasizes that hunting is about more than just taking an animal, which is something viewers see time and again throughout the series. "A hunting trip, whether to the neighboring town or another country, is about adventure, people, stories, food, drink, laughs, and heartache. The actual taking of an animal is a small part of it," he said. He said this message has resonated deeply with viewers, contributing to the show's enduring popularity.

Celebrating Outdoor Channel's 30th Anniversary

The launch of the ninth season coincides with Outdoor Channel's 30th anniversary, a milestone that holds personal significance for Hoffman. "For a guy that didn’t grow up in a hunting family, watching hunting TV was like having a best friend in the TV. It was entertaining and educational for a young hunter, and it still is," Hoffman shared. “Even if I’m putzing around the house, Outdoor Channel is always on in the background.”

What to Expect in Season Nine

This season, viewers can expect all the hallmarks of Nick's Wild Ride—more hunts in exotic places, more beer, more food, and more of the unexpected moments that have come to define the show.

Highlights include:

  • A return to New Zealand, where Hoffman faced and conquered his biggest fear and tasted one of the most unusual foods he's ever encountered.
  • Conservation work in Africa.
  • Flying his own plane to hunts in locations such as Mississippi.
  • Adventures in Spain and Scotland, including hunting woodcock and red deer.
  • Public land hunting in Colorado, where Hoffman explored the history behind the sheepdog in Meeker, CO.

Looking Ahead

Nick's Wild Ride is already in production for its tenth season. Fans can also look forward to Hoffman's new book, set to release in 2025, and a new album coming out this fall.

Hoffman offered advice to newcomers wishing to follow in his footsteps, "If you really want something and put yourself in the right places, anything can happen. Don’t give up after a year—it’s a long tail process."

Nick Hoffman is an award-winning country music artist whose passion for travel and the outdoors takes him to the world’s most interesting places. After 12 years as the fiddle player in Country Music Star Kenny Chesney’s Band, he struck out on his own and scored hit songs with country trio “THE FARM.” Now, Nick’s Wild Ride, shows people a side of Nick Hoffman they’ve never seen. Part traveler, part hunter, part historian, with some party-guy sprinkled in, viewers never know what he’ll do next.

Join Nick Hoffman on Nick's Wild Ride and experience the adventures that have captured the hearts of viewers worldwide. Don’t miss the premiere on Friday, September 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET on Outdoor Channel.
