NBEF Celebrates Board Member Barb Terry Earning ATA's Industry Impact Award

RAPID CITY, SD (March 30, 2026) – National Bowhunter Education Foundation (NBEF) congratulates board member Barb Terry on being recognized with ATA's Industry Impact Award at the Industry Celebration at the 2026 ATA Trade Show in Indianapolis.

Terry has served on the NBEF board of directors and instructs bowhunter and crossbow hunter education classes. Over the last decade she has worked as a mentor and guide for youth, physically challenged youth and combat wounded veterans on numerous hunts in Ohio. Barb believes in sharing her passion for the outdoors and hunting with as many youth and adults as possible. Safety is a priority for Barb followed closely by ethics and the pure enjoyment of the shooting and hunting sports. Terry hunts with crossbow, longbow, shotgun, rifle, muzzleloader and handgun. She also bow fishes with a recurve bow.

The ATA Industry Impact award is designed to honor leaders in the archery industry who inspire others and grow participation in archery and bowhunting. A group of archery industry peers nominate individuals whose contributions to the industry are made through creativity, service, technology, philanthropy, engagement, longevity, sustainability, overcoming adversity or raising awareness.

"NBEF is delighted that Barb was honored with this award," said Marilyn Bentz, Executive Director of the National Bowhunter Education Foundation. "She tirelessly contributes to the industry and NBEF. She is always willing to teach a class and inspire new bowhunting participants to hunt safely and ethically."

NBEF helps bowhunters learn to be safe, successful and stewards of the sport. NBEF offers bowhunting instructional items, books, videos, 3-D models, apparel and more at nbef.org.
