Whitetails Unlimited recently awarded an $8,500 grant to the Northwoods Wildlife and Wetlands Club located in Mercer, Wisconsin. The club is a not-for-profit that houses a rifle, pistol, and trap shooting range as well as an archery range. The archery range includes a 14-target 3D course and a tower that allows hunters to simulate high, angled tree stand shots.
On November 17, one day before Wisconsin’s highly anticipated 9-day gun deer season, the club will be offering a free sight-in day. The range will be marshalled and volunteers will be on hand to assist individuals with their firearm sight-in issues or retuning needs. Food and beverages will also be available along with a 50/50 raffle.
