Keep Talkin with Chad Belding

Attending sportsman shows is one of the most important and fun things we can do as outdoors people. These shows are such a fantastic way to learn, build relationships, plan events and partnerships for the future, make new friends, and support the causes we believe in! The Fowl Life and Team Jargon attended the 2024 SHOT SHOW in Las Vegas, Nevada, the week before last, and it was a blast! If you haven't been to SHOT SHOW yet, mark it on your calendar for next year. You won't be disappointed! Here’s a quick recap of a simply epic week.

The show is put on by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. NSSF is the trade association for the firearms industry, and since its founding in 1961, they have represented the broad scope of the hunting and shooting sports industry. They are currently the leading organization in shooting sports. The vendors at the show include hunting, outdoors, shooting, archery, and more!

It's a time of year for all of us to come together and see what is planned for the new year, design strategies around marketing and sales, see old and new faces, and celebrate what this lifestyle has to offer! We were thrilled to see our good friends Ted Nugent, Michael Waddell, Donald Trump Jr., Dan Henderson, Chad Mendes, Chuck Liddell, Cody Stamann, Jim Shockey, and more. This show is special in the sense that there is such an obvious unity among the attendees in our beliefs and what we stand for!

The energy was awesome this year, and the show is making a strong comeback after the pandemic. The Fowl Life team had an amazing time with our friends from Benelli, Federal, Realtree, SecureIt, Travel Saskatchewan, MOJO, Outdoor Channel, MOTV, Hi Viz, Rob Roberts, Sig Sauer, Oakley Standard Issue, Merlo Waterfowl, Where The Pavement Ends with Clay Belding and Jared Woodward, and so many more! Roc Merlo and Anna Van Nostrand were in attendance with us to discuss strategy with our partners and future partners, and we couldn't have had a better time with everyone.

This year, we went for an incredible sushi dinner with our friends at the outdoor channel at NOBU in Caesars Palace. (If you love sushi, you’ve got to try this place!)

We also attended the OSG and Federal concert with Gretchen Wilson, Johnny Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and others, which was a major highlight of the week. It was a great show, and the energy was on fire!

We had the opportunity to sit down with Michael Waddell of Bone Collector, talk hunting, and play some cool games on the Outdoor Channel interview. It was a blast, and we can't wait for next year. I hope to see you there and that you’ll come say hi! Until then, Keep Talkin’.
