INMAN, S.C. – February 9, 2021 – TrueTimber has announced the addition of Chris Lane to the lineup of TrueTimber brand ambassadors. The Alabama native joins the team leading up to the 2021 Major League Fishing season where he will compete on the biggest stage against the top bass anglers in the world. TrueTimber will also be sponsoring Chris Lane’s son, Cal Lane, for his first year on the MLF Pro Circuit at just 18 years old.
“We are thrilled to have Chris and Cal join the team and we can’t wait to see them performing at the highest levels in our TrueTimber fishing gear,” said TrueTimber CEO Rusty Sellars. “Chris has had an extremely impressive career on the professional circuit and brings a ton of experience as a seasoned angler. We love that Cal has carved his own path into the professional fishing world and as a family run company, we couldn’t be happier to support this father and son duo.”
Chris Lane brings an impressive resume to the table as the 2012 Bassmaster Classic winner and has eight tour level wins under his belt. Going into the 2021 MLF season, Lane has 39 top 10s, 52 top 20s and has accumulated over $2.1 million in winnings over his career. Additionally, he is a seven-time BASS Tournament Trail winner and six-time Bassmaster Classic qualifier.
Cal Lane finished sixth in the Toyota Series Southeastern Division in his first season fishing as a pro, compiling more than $3,000 in winnings. He earned a top 10 finish on Neely Henry Lake last year, earning him enough points to qualify for the Toyota Series Championship. This impressive performance pushed Lane to the next level, where he will be competing in the MLF Pro Circuit in 2021.
