Shooting Competitions

The 2026 Minnesota State High School Clay Target League Trap Shooting Championship is underway in Alexandria, Minnesota, featuring 7,724 student athletes from 340 high school teams competing across nine days. The event, presented by Alexandria Technical & Community College and sponsored by organizations including Ducks Unlimited, the NRA Foundation, and Federal Premium Ammunition, is possibly the world's largest shooting sport event by participation.

Team Ruger's David Olhasso and James McGinty secured multiple victories at the 2026 Maryland IDPA Championship and PSA Shootout using the Ruger® RXM® in 9mm Luger. McGinty won first place in the PSA Shootout's Open Auto division, while Olhasso earned first place in the Maryland IDPA Championship's Enhanced Service Pistol division with a score of 183.49.

Team Remington's Sheaffer Stanfill shot a perfect 500x500 to win the 30th annual Krieghoff Masters Championship at Forest City Gun Club in Savannah, Georgia. Teammates Alessandro Vitale, Connor Thigpen, and Clay Baldwin also earned podium finishes, with Team Remington sweeping the Men's Doubles competition.

Team Beretta earned four podium finishes at the 2026 World English Sporting Clays Championship in San Antonio, Texas. Connor Daniel won Junior Team Champion, Anthony Matarese, Jr. placed third in FITASC, Desirae Edmunds secured third in the Lady division, and Joseph Fanizzi claimed the 5-Stand Champion title.

Federal Ammunition celebrated strong performances by its sponsored trap shooters at the 50th Annual 2026 Spring Grand American in Tucson, Arizona. Westin Anderson and Ziggy Tkaczenko earned multiple championship titles across five events, with nearly 1,500 participants competing. Federal's new All-American shotshell product features advanced wad and shot technology for competitive trap and skeet shooting.
