Henderson, NV - Hogue Inc President/CEO Aaron Hogue will be racing a highly modified, re-engineered Aero Vodochody L-29 Jet aircraft at the 2021 Reno Air Races in Reno, Nevada during September 15-19, 2021. Hogue Knives is sponsoring the Jet Gold Racing Class and will be displaying their rapidly growing line of Hogue Knives. The Reno Air Races are the only event in the world where aircraft compete around pylons at altitudes between 50 and 250 feet with speeds exceeding 500 miles per hour! Pilots must be highly experienced and pass rigorous training requirements to receive an invitation to race. Aaron Hogue has been a pilot for over 35 years and has spent several years training for this experience.

The Hogue Knives branded L-29 Aircraft is one of only five existing with the powerful Pratt & Whitney engine. A similarly equipped L-29 has won the Jet Class Gold twice, piloted by Pete Zaccagnino. Hogue’s L-29 has been named “Ballista” to represent their upcoming Ballista line of knives. Ballista is the name of an ancient missile weapon that accurately launched projectiles.
