COLBY, Kan. - The Great American Outdoor Trails Radio Magazine (GAOT) was recently selected to air on American Forces Radio Network’s (AFRN) 170 affiliate stations around the world, and now GAOT is giving an opportunity for you to give back to the men and women serving our country.
The National Rifle Association, Versus Network, Not Alone, Blackhawk, and Outdoor Promotions, Inc. (which includes Crappie USA, Speckled Trout USA, Cabela's KING KAT Tournament Trail) and Yellowstone Fly Rods stepped up as early sponsors and are helping with this effort. Their billboard ads are heard weekly on GAOT's special American Forces Edition on American Forces Radio Network.
Currently, there are five billboard sponsorships still available on the award-winning show that can be heard every Wednesday on AFRN at 4:30 pm Pacific. Sponsors receive maximum exposure with 170 name mentions per week, 680 name mentions per month, and 8,160 name mentions per year.
“This is a humbling experience,” says Jim Ferguson. “I’ve wanted to give back to our men and women in the Armed Forces ever since I started the program over nine years ago. Now we have a chance to provide outdoor information and entertainment every week to the men and women in the Armed Forces.”
The AFRN, formerly Armed Forces Radio, was established in 1942 and it serves American forces and their families in 177 countries around the world as well as every U.S. ship at sea. Audience size exceeds one million listeners, according to Jef S. Reilly, director of American Forces Radio Network Worldwide.
GAOT can be heard on more than 280 radio stations and cable networks across the country and has a projected weekly audience on the Outdoor Trails Network that exceeds four million. The show is also available on more than 100 Affiliate Host Websites. For a full listing of stations and sites, visit www.outdoortrailsnetwork.com.
