Happy Birthday to all of my fellow U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officers out there!

In this edition of The Hunting Wire, we debut the short film, El Ciervo Trofeo, which tells the story of my hunt with Sirius Outdoors in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.

We also hear from the great state of Kentucky on their recruitment efforts for conservation officers.

Turkey season is upon some of us, and almost here for all of us. We have plenty of new equipment including refined turkey-specific ammunition, smaller, faster, more accurate shotguns, and new and improved archery tackle for hunters in 2024. While most spring hunting seems to focus on turkeys, let's not forget the spring bear hunters out there.
