WAUSAU, Wis. - Advancing the production of quality, world-class whitetail deer in Wisconsin, Whitetails of Wisconsin (WOW) will hold its Annual Banquet & Fundraiser at The Plaza Hotel & Suites in Wausau, Wis., on April 9, 2010 and April 10, 2010.
In conjunction with the banquet, Keith Amass will offer his "Chemical Immobilization of White-tailed Deer, Elk, and Non-Native Deer" seminar on April 8 & 9 at the same location. On April 9, Leo Windschitl of ADM Alliance Nutrition will present his “Deer Nutrition & Management Seminar” again, which also includes dinner. Both seminars were well attended last year and provide a plethora of useful knowledge.
WOW will be hosting another Deer Farming Open Forum Round Table Discussion on Friday evening, after the ADM seminar. This discussion has proved to be a very popular event, as it offers new and "seasoned" deer farmers alike a chance to learn more about our industry and the animals we love to raise.
Saturday’s events include a "Feed & Nutrition" seminar, with information presented by three different feed specialists. Insurance and hunting ranches will be covered by another knowledgeable speaker. Additionally, W.O.W. will again host its annual photo & antler contests, awards to industry supporters, a gun raffle, and a live & silent auction full of valuable items. Participants are encouraged to set up booths to advertise their farms or businesses. This is always a great chance to connect with other farmers, learn something new, and take home a few prize items. We hope to see you there!
