Dr. Grant Woods Launches GrowingDeer.tv

2010-01-20

REEDS SPRINGS, Mo. – Whitetail expert Dr. Grant Woods announced a new video-based website for people who are passionate about deer hunting and deer management – GrowingDeer.tv.

The new Web site’s focus is to provide content that hits the target for whitetail enthusiasts.  Each video, whether it is a feature show or a short video tip, is created specifically to entertain and educate viewers so that they can be more effective hunters and managers.

“The goal of GrowingDeer.tv is to share the most recent information about deer hunting and management techniques,” said Grant. “My whole career has been based on finding and sharing knowledge with sportsmen to make them better hunters.  It’s so much easier to share information in a video format on the Web because we are all so visual. This Web site is an answer to a frequent comment at my seminars – ‘I wish my hunting buddies could have been here.’ With GrowingDeer.tv it’s as simple as one friend forwarding a link and sharing the content with his hunting buddies. This is real time information where content can be easily and frequently updated with user access 24/7, 365.”

Fresh, high-quality content is the main feature of GrowingDeer.tv.  New video is filmed weekly for immediate release and viewing, making the episodes “semi-live”. Episodes are short in length, designed to fit today’s busy lifestyles.

Lindsay Thomas Jr., editor of QDMA’s Quality Whitetails magazine, said: “GrowingDeer.tv combines the best features of Web and television.  You get high-quality video production in short, dense packages of information that you can view on your schedule.  Best of all, the information is coming from Grant Woods, so it’s accurate and concise.  In his trademark style, Grant gets straight to the point in a language every deer hunter understands.”

Dr. Grant Woods is the host of GrowingDeer.tv.  Over the last 20 years he has become well known as one of the top deer biologists in the nation.  Whether it’s in front of the camera for television shows like Mossy Oak’s Hunting the Country, Drury Outdoor’s Dream Season, Bass Pro’s Outdoor World, Bill Jordan’s RealTree Outdoors, or at scientific conferences -- he is known for making his presentations fun, personable and interesting.
